Ah, a three day weekend. How refreshing. It’s just enough time to get your life in order, have some fun, and recharge the batteries. If you are following us on Instagram, you know that we have been struggling with time management. There are so many ideas we have, and projects we want to start working on. The issue though, is finding disposable time to tackle everything with. The goods news is that we may have found a system that will keep things running smoothly around here. If it actually works, we’ll do a post later and fill you in. This weekend we headed out for a little fun at Lake Norman State Park.

The warm salt air breeze in the air; white powder sand between your toes; pods of dolphins swimming twenty feet from the shore; pelicans diving for the catch of the day; the darkest skies on the east coast providing a full feature, all night star cinema; spending time with loved ones; and of course, a cold beer. We had a wonderful weekend in Cape Hatteras.

The Smoky Mountains roll for miles cutting through the dense fog and fresh mountain crisp air. It is a beautiful morning and we are thrilled to be in the mountains for the weekend. If you haven’t been to the Smokies, the park is massive and covers a span from North Carolina to Tennessee. Summer time in the Carolinas. The season to lose the wool socks, air out the hiking boots, and point the compass toward the white powder sand beaches of the coast. Carolina Beach is a quaint and friendly seaboard town, just south of Wilmington, where sprawling beaches meet the crashing waves of the Atlantic.
